Kenilworth Estates currently owns a site in Newark. Purchased initially in 1988 as 2 sites, Kenilworth remediated both sites in 1993 with the aid of a DOE (Derelict land grant). The site is around 6 acres and is presently zoned as Employment use. It has a current planning permission for a small industrial unit. Applications for a much larger industrial unit of 110,000 SQ FT have been granted in the past. In 1995/96 Kenilworth obtained a permission for a clinical Waste Incinerator on 2 acres of the site which has now lapsed

6 acres
Purchased in 1988 and remediated by Kenilworth with a DOE Derelict Land Grant.
We are now working with the council to rezone the site and use the land in conjunction with the Growth Point Plan.
The 6 acres will then be used for mixed use for a small district centre
This is likely to happen during 2010 and a planning application should be submitted by the developer during 2010.
Currently the site is within Newark and Sherwoods Councils Growth Point Plan and will be redesignated as a Mixed use site in all probability for a small district centre , residential or a mixture of both.
